As we prepare to celebrate our nation's birthday - and freedom, may we pause for a moment to remember the men and women who are serving our country right now to insure our safety and freedom as we celebrate.  Pray for the families of our soldiers.

Let us also not forget to pray for our nation.  We should seek God's forgiveness for our sinful ways and turn again to Him and His ways if we want to continue to see His blessings poured out upon our nation.  Join me this Independence Day in lifting up our nation to the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer.

Thanks to all of those who made last Saturday a great productive and fun work day.  We had some new members pitching in and getting their hands dirty for the church, yet another sign of our growth over the past year.  Flowers planted around the vestibule entry and the sign, trees trimmed and a good general yard cleaning have made the entry into God's house a more pleasant one to the eyes.  Thanks again for the hard work!
